Who we are

Our mission is to design joyful interiors. We help clients move beyond safe neutrals to create colorful, character-rich homes that feel fresh, sophisticated, and unmistakably theirs.

Kin House Design is a Tacoma-based interior design firm founded by sisters Michaela and Allison. They use their complementary backgrounds in design and construction to bring their shared passion for dynamic spaces to life. With Michaela’s degree in structural engineering and Allison’s degree in interior design from Washington State University, they approach each project with technical understanding and a creative eye.

We believe the most meaningful interiors are those that reflect the people who live in them. Through deliberate use of color and texture, intentional space planning, and thoughtful sourcing of unique pieces, we create personal interiors that feel collected rather than manufactured.
